Call for Contributions for Volume 40: Human-Machine Entanglements
Chroma is calling for contributions for volume 40: Human-Machine Entanglements.
This is a special edition focused on creative practice as research in computer music and souand art.
This issue foregrounds creative work as a primary research output. Submissions combine a completed work (hosted online) with a short accompanying text that outlines its development, context, and contribution to the field.
We welcome a wide range of practices, including electroacoustic music, live electronics, audiovisual work, sound art, AI-assisted composition, and interactive systems.
Theme: Human–Machine Entanglements
Works must have been created within the last two years (not completed before July 2024).
All submissions will be double-blind peer reviewed.
Deadline: 31 July 2026
This initiative marks the beginning of an ongoing creative works stream within Chroma, supporting the publication and recognition of practice-based research across the ACMA community.
